The Empire Strikes Back - Hungarian Mini Movie Poster / Flyer

This item is arguably the single rarest example of printed advertisement that was produced by MOKEP (the sole Hungarian film distributor during the communist era) for the first release of the STAR WARS movies in Hungary.

They were giving out these flyers to the audience in the cinemas in 1981/1982 to promote the upcoming film.

The back side of the flyer is actually a postcard - even if the audience never really used these for that purpose. Instead these mini-posters mostly ended up being glued into scrapbooks.

The odd artwork with vibrant colors based on the famous scene with the imperial star ships chasing the rebel heroes through the asteroid field - but with weird alternate versions of the Star Destroyer, the Tie fighters and the Millennium Falcon.
